In May 2006, while visiting Israel, Moussaieff was detained at Ben Gurion International Airport after arguing with security personnel who refused to acknowledge her British passport and told her that she was obliged by Israeli law to enter and exit the country using an Israeli passport.
Originally the IOC's policy would have barred Wilson from representing Hong Kong (she held a British passport, and being still a minor she could not renounce her British citizenship), which was a cause for distress throughout Hong Kong.
The street was also the home for 50 years until 2002 of the London passport office at Clive House; it is now located at Globe House in Eccleston Square, Victoria.

Balram Chainrai is a Nepalese based businessman that was born in Okhaldhunga District, eastern Nepal and migrated with his family to Hong Kong with his British Gurkha Army father and brought up in Hong Kong and that holds a British passport, who formerly owned Portsmouth Football Club.
