Kyrre Nakkim is the son of Kjellaug Nakkim, a Conservative politician from Moss and former chair of the Broadcasting Council in Norway.
In 1998 Edwina also served as a member of the Broadcasting Council for Wales and sat on the board of the Wales Millennium Centre.
It replaced the monopoly New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation with two competing publicly owned television channels, Television One, and Television Two (later called South Pacific Television) a corporation to manage public radio, Radio New Zealand, and a new Broadcasting Council.
Among these, was the leader of the Broadcasting Council in the NRK, Kjellaug Nakkim.
