Brügge is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Duke Albert had been a loyal follower of the Habsburgs in their struggle around the Burgundian heritage and had freed the King from custody at Brügge ten years before.


1972–73 in Belgian football

Club Brugge KV reached the second round by eliminating Åtvidabergs FF of Sweden (won 5-3 away, lost 1-2 at home) but RR White lost to Grupo Desportivo Cuf of Portugal in the first round (lost 0-1 at home, 0-2 away).

Day of the Flemish Community

In 1302 the French king Philip IV sent an army to punish the Flemish citizens of Brugge, who earlier that year rebelled against the king and attacked the French governor of Flanders (the so-called Good Friday of Brugge).

Fernando Sánchez de Tovar
