February 1 of 2012, Valley Young began recording their debut studio EP, Year of the Bear, and album, Upright In The Sunlight, with producer Bryce Goggin (Phish, Pavement, Akron/Family, The Lemonheads) at Trout Recording in Brooklyn, NY.
He has since worked with a number of musicians including The Apples in Stereo, Luna, Swans, Evan Dando, Sean Lennon, Sebadoh, Heave, Come, Spacehog, Ramones, The Morning Glories, Band of Susans, Danish band Grand Avenue, Phish, The 45's, Akron Family, Dylan Connor, The Spring Standards, and cabaret pop group Antony and the Johnsons.
Shortly after Spacehog was formed, Langdon came to New York City, where he met Bryce Goggin; the two became friends, and Goggin would later produce Spacehog's best known song, In the Meantime.
