Smash Your Head on the Punk Rock is a compilation album by the American indie rock band, Sebadoh.

He has since worked with a number of musicians including The Apples in Stereo, Luna, Swans, Evan Dando, Sean Lennon, Sebadoh, Heave, Come, Spacehog, Ramones, The Morning Glories, Band of Susans, Danish band Grand Avenue, Phish, The 45's, Akron Family, Dylan Connor, The Spring Standards, and cabaret pop group Antony and the Johnsons.
Pollard also recorded with former Sebadoh bandmate Jason Loewenstein as Amnesiac Godz, and played bass and drums on Earlimart's 2007 album Mentor Tormentor.
However, "Battle Formation" is loosely themed around geographical locations; one episode of the show saw Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh battle for the use of Lou Barlow.
Weed Forestin was recorded in 1986 and 1987, when Barlow was the bassist of the American indie rock band, Dinosaur Jr. Sebadoh, which Barlow co-founded with Eric Gaffney, started as a songwriting outlet for Barlow outside of Dinosaur Jr, whose lead singer and guitarist, J. Mascis, Barlow would later publicly clash with.
