Donald L. Hollowell

Donald Hollowell was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, and earned a high school diploma while serving six years in the U.S. Army's 10th Cavalry Regiment (the original Buffalo Soldier regiment).

Gayraud Wilmore

As a Buffalo Soldier, he served with the all-black 92nd Infantry division in Italy.

West Nyack, New York

One of the graves at Mount Moor is that of Lafayette Logan, a Buffalo Soldier who fought in the American Civil War with the legendary black 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, the unit made famous in the motion picture Glory About six others members of the Buffalo Soldiers are buried here.
