Most units are based in Vranje, including the command of the brigade, while other units are based in Leskovac and Bujanovac.
After the establishment of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians, in 1918, Bujanovac became part of Vranje Oblast, one of total 33, formed after the Vidovdan Constitution, in 1921.
