Burt Ingwersen

Ingwersen was born in Bryant, Iowa, a suburb of Clinton, but his parents and he moved across the river to Fulton, Illinois when Ingwersen was in grade school.

Ossie Solem

In 1932, Solem signed a three year contract to succeed Burt Ingwersen as the 13th head football coach at the University of Iowa.


1917–18 Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team

The starting lineup included co-captain Earl Anderson and B.E. Mittleman at the forward positions, J.S. Probst and P.C. Taylor at center, and co-captain George Halas and Burt Ingwersen as guards.
