Common stingaree

The distribution of the common stingaree is limited to the coastal waters off eastern Australia, extending from Caloundra in southern Queensland to Cape Howe in Victoria; the majority of its population is found north of Jervis Bay.

Patchwork stingaree

The patchwork stingaree is a northern Australian endemic with a discontinuous range: the western population is found from the Houtman Abrolhos to Cape Leveque in Western Australia, and the eastern population from Caloundra to Townsville in Queensland.


Achoerodus viridis

Its range extends from Caloundra in southern Queensland southwards to Wilsons Promontory in the south of Victoria, including the eastern end of the Bass Strait.
