One of only four winners in Canada, Wedel brought Seattle Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant to school on April 1st 2010.
On April 1, 2010, Marcus Trufant traveled to Cambridge Elementary School in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada as one of the students there, Tyler Wedel, was one of only four Canadian winners of the NFL Take A Player To School Contest and as a winner Wedel brought Trufant to school to talk to his fellow students about his career and inspirations to play in the NFL.
