Franklin Archibald Dick

He was assistant adjutant general to Nathaniel Lyon at Camp Jackson (the first Missouri Civil War incident); Missouri provost marshal general under Major General Samuel Curtis; law partner with Montgomery Blair at the Blair House in Washington D C after the Civil War.

Thomas William Sweeny

As second in command, he participated in the capture of Camp Jackson in May 1861 and later assisted in organizing the Home Guards.

The Camp Jackson Affair was an incident in the American Civil War on 10 May 1861, when Union military forces captured a force pro-secession state militia at Camp Jackson, just outside Saint Louis, Missouri, and subsequently clashed with pro-secession rioters in the city.
