Nova Canaã Paulista (the first two, lit., New Cannan) is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil.
Like Cannan the patron of the arts Eddie Marsh was keen to support up-and-coming artists such as the novelists Maurice Hewlett and Hugh Walpole all three of whom visited.

It was advertised in the spring of 1913 and was taken by Gilbert Cannan and his new wife Mary (née Ansell), who had previously been married to J. M. Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan.
Cannan's sketchbooks and letters are in the collections of National Library of Australia, the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, and Trinity College, Oxford.
