Carl Sontheimer

Carl G. Sontheimer (1914-1998) was an American inventor and engineer best known for creating the original Cuisinart food processor.

He and his wife sold the Cuisinart company to an investment group in 1987 for $42 million.

Food processor

Carl Sontheimer introduced this same Magimix 1800 food processor into North America in 1973 under the Cuisinart brand, as America's first domestic food processor.
