SAUM has a rich history that began in April 9, 1933 when King Carol II of Romania promulgated the Law concerning the transformation of Agricultural Sciences Section of the University of Iaşi into the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences with its center in Chişinău.
This was another record broken by Trout and was later recognized by King Carol II of Romania where a representative gave her the Royal Decree and the aviation cross for pilots who made record flights, a distinction which was only given to two other pilots - Earhart and Charles Lindbergh.

He attended lycée in Nice, France, and graduated in Letters (1937) and Law (1940) from the University of Paris (his Law thesis dealt with the antisemitic legislation passed by the governments of King Carol II in Romania).
As might be expected for an ambassador, Irimescu expressed public support for the royal dictatorship established by King Carol II (see National Renaissance Front).
