Originally named Cash Money, the band received national attention in 1999 in Rolling Stone # 814, in a humorous sidebar piece comparing Cash Money’s low-key touring style (two guys in a station wagon) to the excesses of the hip-hop stars of New Orleans' Cash Money Records.

Magnolia Projects

The most well-known artists to come out of the Magnolia Projects are Birdman (rapper) magnolia shorty, Juvenile and Turk of the Hot Boys, a former rap group who started their careers on Cash Money Records, and rapper Jay Electronica.

Uptown 4 life

This album was a huge success for the group but was their last album with Cash Money Records.


6 Foot 7 Foot

The track was originally intended for rapper T.I., but the Atlantic records manager who also co-manages Lil Wayne, decided Lil Wayne would be a better fit, reuniting Lil Wayne and producer Bangladesh for the first time since "A Milli" after the royalty dispute between Bangladesh and Cash Money on that song.

Isaiah Rashad

Growing up and to this day Rashad says he listens or listened to Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, OutKast, No Limit Records, Cash Money Records, Erykah Badu, The Fugees, KRS-One, Dead Prez, Three 6 Mafia, 8Ball & MJG, UGK, R.
