Olympic swimmer Neil Brooks studied accountancy at the Leederville campus in 1978.

Between 1905 and 1914, courses including pure mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology were taught at Perth Technical School on behalf of the University of Adelaide.
In 1975, he was hired as an education officer for the Art Gallery of Western Australia and worked full-time until 1988 when he went part-time to became an adjunct lecturer for the Department of TAFE (now Central Institute of Technology).
After finishing his National Service in 1971 he enrolled in an art course at Claremont School of Art.

During the 1970s he studied art and sculpture at Midland Technical College and Perth Technical College.
