3 unusual facts about Cesare Bonventre

Cesare Bonventre

In 1979 Cesare and Baldassare were arrested for carrying illegal firearms in their car after being stopped by police at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, New York shortly before the execution of Carmine Galante.

Bonventre had been on the side of the three capos' Alphonse "Sonny Red" Indelicato, Philip Giaccone and Dominick Trinchera; a family faction who were planning a coup to take over the family.

Nicholas Santora

Indelicato approached Santora, whose job was to deliver the message to mobsters Dominick Napolitano and Cesare Bonventre and report back to Indelicato.

Carmine Galante

Also sitting at the table were Galante's Sicilian bodyguards, Baldassare Amato and Cesare Bonventre.

Salvatore Vitale

Vitale told the FBI about both his and Massino's involvement in over 10 murders, including: Indelicato, Trinchera, Giaccone, Dominick Napolitano, Anthony Mirra, Cesare Bonventre, Gerlando Sciascia, Gabriel Infante, Joseph Pastore, John Favara and Vito Borelli.
