The primary and most visible function of the Ceremonial Guard is, as mentioned, the Changing of the Guard on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario, the national capital of Canada.
According to Transformers writer Simon Furman, the mini-series is set during the events of the season three episode, "Changing of the Guard".
Aside from weekends, the changing of the guard are also taking place on special occasions such as May 31 (Zagreb City Day), October 18 (Cravat Day) and January 1 (New Year's Day).
The two songs featured on the EP (the title track and 'Changing Of The Guard') were both collaborations with 1960s American jazz-folk-soul singer Terry Callier, whose career had recently been reinvigorated in the UK by the interest of the acid-jazz community.
