Drake is a part of the legacy of Star Trek, having played the role of Commodore George Stocker in the original series' second season episode, "The Deadly Years" (December 8, 1967).
He was engaged in 1869 to join the survey of Sinai, undertaken by the Palestine Exploration Fund, and followed up this work in the next year by exploring the desert of El-Tih in company with Charles Drake.
Charles Drake worked with Mayfield to develop a fenestrated clip through which the posterior cerebral artery could pass, thus facilitating occlusion of basilar terminus aneurysms.
