Child's Ercall

The village church has a 12th-century doorway, a 13th-century arcade and 14th-century aisle, as well as stained glass by Charles Eamer Kempe.


Christ Church, Chester

The reredos in the chapel, dating from 1897, was designed by Kempe, its figures being carved by Joseph Mayer of Oberammergau.

Grade I listed churches in Shropshire

The east window contains stained glass dated 1893 by Kempe depicting the Crucifixion.

Ovingdean

Among those buried in the churchyard are the inventor Magnus Volk, the stained-glass artist Charles Kempe and the distinguished lawyer Helena Normanton, one of the first female barristers and QCs.

St Cuthbert's Church, Lytham

St Cuthbert's stained glass includes a window designed in 1860 by Hardman & Co., an 1874 window depicting the Mount of Olives by Morris & Co. as well as work by Charles Eamer Kempe, Jean-Baptiste Capronnier and Clayton and Bell.
