The Nanyang Girls' High School Chinese Orchestra (NYCO) was founded in 1977, with the aim of promoting the appreciation of Chinese music and of grooming outstanding musicians.
Upon invitation by The National Chinese Orchestra under the Ministry of Education, Liu composed “Song of the Tsou Tribe” based on Taiwanese aboriginal folk music and toured throughout Europe.
