Novaci is also the name of the village where the municipal seat is found.
From this place is a view of the Parângu Mare peak and when the weather is good you can see the Peleaga peak of Retezat Mountains.
The villages of Tamnava, Novaci, Kalinovac, Trlić, Sovljak and Crvena Jabuka are located on the river which has been followed by the satellite flow of the Ub River ever from the source on the Vlašić mountain.
