He returned to wrestling in 2005 and entered Chikara's Tag World Grand Prix 2005 with partner Claudio Castagnoli and made it to the finals to face Superfriends, Chris Hero and Mike Quackenbush.
The eventual winners were the team of Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, the Kings of Wrestling who defeated Milano Collection A.T. and Skayde (Team DragonDoor) in the finals of the tournament to be crowned the first Campeones de Parejas.
In October 2009, Rinauro wrestled on two shows for Chikara, being defeated by Mike Quackenbush and Claudio Castagnoli.
At ROH's Take No Prisoners pay-per-view, Black pinned Delirious to win a Four Corner Survival match which also involved Go Shiozaki and Claudio Castagnoli.
The second annual Torneo Cibernetico took place on October 22, 2005 in Hellertown, Pennsylvania, and featured Chris Hero (captain), Blind Rage, Arik Cannon, Claudio Castagnoli, Gran Akuma, Hallowicked, Icarus and UltraMantis Black wrestling against Mike Quackenbush (captain), Jigsaw, Eddie Kingston, Milano Collection A.T., Sabian, Skayde, Shane Storm and Mister ZERO.
Hero would lose matches to Lince Dorado, El Pantera, Claudio Castagnoli and Equinox, all by submission due to “The CHIKARA Special”.
