Colin Colahan

Colin Cuthbert Orr Colahan (12 February 1897, Woodend, Victoria – 6 June 1987, Ventimiglia) was an Australian painter and sculptor.

Colahan created the 'Sirena' fountain for the Italian town of Bordighera.

John Colahan

Their children were Merita (1886), Beatrice (1889), Frederick (1892), Jack (1894), the artist Colin Colahan (1897) and Basil (1899) He served as Principal Medical Officer in Ireland.


Max Meldrum

Among his students were Clarice Beckett, Colin Colahan, Auguste Cornels, Percy Leason, John Farmer, Polly Hurry, Justus Jorgensen, Percy and Arnold Shore, and he influenced considerably the work of his friend Alexander Colquhoun, whose son Archibald was also a Meldrum student at that time.
