Music sung ranges from Tallis and Byrd to more modern composers - communion settings by Kenneth Leighton and Grayston Ives and anthems by Malcolm Archer, Colin Mawby, Alan Ridout and Paul Edwards.
His secular works include two operas for young people, The Torc of Gold (1996) and The Quest (2000), both on libretti by playwright Maeve Ingoldsby, commissioned by the National Chamber Choir and premiered in Dublin under his direction.

Their repertoire includes Allegri’s Miserere, Palestrina’s Missa Papae Marcelli, Stanford’s Three Motets Op 38, Duruflé’s Quatre Motets Op 10 and more recent compositions by John Tavener, Eric Sweeney and Colin Mawby.
From May 2002 to January 2007 the choir's conductor was Cologne-based Celso Antunes, who succeeded founding Artistic Director Colin Mawby.
