A national Commission on Money and Credit (CMC) was established November 21, 1957, by Donald K. David, Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development (CED) to make the first extensive investigation of the U.S. monetary system since the Aldrich Commission of 1908-1911.
He is the chairman of the Board of the Terra Foundation for American Art, a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development, a member of the International Advisory Council of the Israel Democracy Institute, and a member of the International Advisory Board of the European University at St. Petersburg.
He was the principal investigator of a seven-year grant from The Pew Charitable Trusts to the Campaign Management Institute to study campaign conduct and a four-year study of lobbying and ethics from the Committee for Economic Development.
