Kew Constabulary

Although the Kew Constabulary were a separate organisation to the Royal Parks Constabulary, they had police powers in the Royal Parks until the original Parks Regulations 1872 were amended by Section 162 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005.

This contrasts with the responsibilities of the now disbanded Royal Parks Constabulary, which had responsibility for the instigation of proceedings within their jurisdiction and whom were attested under the same legislation as the Kew Constabulary.


Armed Forces of the Philippines

MacArthur expanded the Philippine Armed Forces with the revival of the Navy in 1940 and the formation of the Philippine Army Air Corps (formerly the Philippine Constabulary Air Corps), but they were not ready for combat at the start of the Pacific War in December 1941 and unable to defeat the 1941–42 Japanese invasion of the Philippines.

Arthur Carkeek

Arthur Wakefield Carkeek (1843 – 1897) was a member of the Armed Constabulary in the New Zealand Wars, and was one of only 23 recipients of the New Zealand Cross for gallantry.

Bristol Constabulary

British South Africa Police
