Casey Converse

On March 26, 1977, while swimming for the Crimson Tide under head coach Don Gambril he set an NCAA record and became the first man in swimming history to break the 15-minute barrier in the mile on his way to winning the 1650 freestyle when he went 14:57.30 at the NCAA Championships in Cleveland, Ohio.

From Wishes to Eternity

In addition to a show of Nightwish material, the band also performed a medley, "Crimson Tide, Deep Blue Sea", which borrowed melodies from many sources, including Hans Zimmer's music in the 1995 film Crimson Tide.

WTLS

WTLS also has produced the regionally syndicated, In the Trenches, featuring former Alabama Crimson Tide center Roger Shultz and former Auburn Tigers quarterback Stan White.


Ken Meyer

During his five years with the Crimson Tide, he worked with the team's quarterbacks, a group which included future Pro Football Hall of Famer Joe Namath, as well as Super Bowl winning signal caller Ken Stabler.
