He studied "radiophony" in Berlin and after return to Prague he helped to set up the music department of the Czech Radio.
The first regular announcer of the station who prepared and presented the news from the daily papers was Adolf Dobrovolný from 1924 to 1934.

Zolinsky's music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, and he has also given solo recitals on Classic FM, German Radio, Czech Radio and two recitals of contemporary Irish music for BBC Radio Ulster.
