Dat'r

Shortly after the release of their Hush Records debut Turn Up the Ghosts, Dat'r was voted #6 on the "Top Ten Best New Bands in Portland" by the Willamette Week, a local newspaper.

Dat'r is an Electronic music band consisting of Matt Dabrowiak and Paul Alcott, from Portland, Oregon.

Mick Head

Producer Chris Allison had the only surviving copy of the album, but unaware of a fire that demolished the studio, carelessly left his copy of the tape in a rental car while in the U.S.; upon returning to the UK and learning of the studio's fate he managed to contact the rental car company and rescue the DAT, but the record company had collapsed and there was no one to distribute it.

Screaming Banshee Aircrew

The band quickly gained a reputation as an energetic live act and were to gather a fanbase across the UK, especially within the Gothic Rock circuit (see Goth subculture), during this time with an act that featured DAT tape backing, guitars and interwoven male and female lead vocals.

The first 15 minutes of the film consist of a condensed adaptation of Act I of Show Boat, with the order of some of the songs shifted - "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man" is sung after "Life upon the Wicked Stage", and "Ol' Man River" was used as an Act I Finale, dissimilar to the show.
