It is transmitted by beetles Lema melanopa and Lema lichenis and is common in crops of cocksfoot and cocksfoot/legume mixtures.


Omocestus viridulus

O. viridulus feeds on grass from the genera Dactylis, Agrostis, Anthoxanthum, Lolium and Holcus.

Smoky Wainscot

The larva is brown with dark and white lines and feeds on various grasses including Alopecurus, Dactylis, Deschampsia, Leymus and Phragmites and has also been recorded on the sedge, Carex and the rush, Luzula.
