Their first European tour, "The Survivors Tour" (2010), involved the band playing in support of Whitechapel, Dark Funeral, Darkness Dynamite, A Skylit Drive, Adept, Despised Icon, Dance Gavin Dance, While She Sleeps and Shadows Chasing Ghosts.

On January 10, 2014 the Dance Gavin Dance resigned to Rise Records for their next "couple" releases.

Jon Mess stated via Twitter that the band intends to go into the studio in mid March to record their fifth studio album with Rise Records, and that the album should be released in late summer.

With this line-up, the band released their first self-produced EP, Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean, which was subsequently re-released on November 14, 2006 through Rise Records.

They entered the studio in January 2007 with producer Kris Crummet and released their debut full-length album, Downtown Battle Mountain on May 15, 2007 on Rise Records.


Emarosa

So far Cody Anderson (formerly of In Fear and Faith), Chris Roetter (of Like Moths to Flames, formerly Emarosa and Agraceful, who actually wrote the song), Austin Carlile, Jon Mess (of Dance Gavin Dance), Kyle Tamosaitis (formerly of Burden of a Day), Chris Moore, and Jerry Roush have performed this song alongside the band.

The band also played the The Artery Foundation SXSW Showdown 2011 on March 17 in Texas, alongside Asking Alexandria, Whitechapel, Chiodos, Dance Gavin Dance, Iwrestledabearonce, Of Mice and Men, and more.

This Is Desolation

The album has 88 tracks and includes Matt Geise of Lower Definition (Ferret) / Dance Gavin Dance (Rise Records) and Zeek as special guest vocalists in two of the songs, with Tamás Somló (Lokomotiv GT) playing the clarinet on track #9.
