2012 With District 52 incumbent appointed Republican Representative Daniel McCay redistricted to District 41, Knotwell was selected from four candidates by the Republican convention and won the three-way November 6, 2012 General election with 9,928 votes (73.6%) against Democratic nominee Daniel Paget and Independent candidate Aaron Davis.
