In the United States, Darley is based at the historic Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
Kildangan is home to the world famous Kildangan Stud, which was founded by the More O'Ferrells, on the site of Kildangan Castle, and the grounds of which contain a variety of rare ornamental trees and shrubs, and an abundance of woodland.

Through a joint ownership between his breeder, the Aga Khan IV, and Darley Stud, he stood as a sire at the Aga Khan's Gilltown Stud near Kilcullen, County Kildare, Ireland until 2006 when he was sent to his Haras de Bonneval stud at Le Mesnil-Mauger in France.
Retired at the end of the 2001 racing season, Fantastic Light stood for the Darley Stud stud at Dalham Hall in Newmarket, England, before being moved to their Japanese base in Hokkaido for the 2007 season.
He stood at Darley's Kildangan Stud, in Kildangan, County Kildare, Ireland and Whitsbury Manor Stud.
