Genn spent six years with the Matthew Good Band between 1995 and 2001, when he served as the band's lead guitarist and keyboardist, co-writing many of the band's songs with Matthew Good.

Former Matthew Good Band guitarist Dave Genn appears on the album and is credited with two of the album's songs.
He is the son of Canadian artist Robert Genn, the brother of musician Dave Genn, and is the twin brother to artist and musician Sara Genn.
