Gee Abanilla (2008–09, on leave for the 2009 season & current head coach of the De La Salle Green Archers)
It was founded by football players from De La Salle University which is known as "Green Archers" in the UAAP.
After playing collegiately for Polytechnic University of the Philippines (undergraduate) and the De La Salle Green Archers (as a graduate student, for the 2003 and 2004 seasons), he played for the Harbour Centre franchise in the Philippine Basketball League, where he honed his skills as an enforcer.
The Tigers would make their way back to the UAAP Finals for the 2nd straight season after surviving three knockout games which included their final elimination round game in which they knocked out the defending champion Ateneo Blue Eagles for the last Final Four slot, and stunning the top-seeded NU Bulldogs by winning two straight games to advance to the UAAP Finals where they battled the De La Salle Green Archers.
