In May 2012, Stillie gained his first international cap for Principality of Sealand playing along with the likes of Ralph Little against Chagos Islands in which he conceded three goals, the match finished 3–1.

He played as a goalkeeper for a number of clubs in Scotland and England before retiring to pursue a career in English law.

In July 2002, Stillie moved back north to Dunfermline Athletic where he was a virtual ever-present in the Pars side, making a total of 117 appearances after replacing first choice Marco Ruitenbeek in November that year.
