The album features an array of musical guests including Prince, Dallas Austin, Humpty Hump from Digital Underground, Ice Cube, N'Dea Davenport, Dr. Dre, and Herbie Hancock, as well P-Funk alumni including Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell, Maceo Parker, and Fred Wesley.
"Kiss You Back" was the lead single released from Digital Underground's second studio album (their third official release), Sons of the P.
The yet to be released album features artist collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Shock G of Digital Underground, Bootsy Collins, "Daughtry" drummer Robin Diaz, Shavo Odadjian of System Of A Down, Reggie Calloway of Midnight Star, Rick Rouse of George Clinton and Burt Bacharach violinist Eliza James.
The track "Let's Play House" was sampled by the Hip-Hop group Digital Underground for their single "The Humpty Dance".
Released a year after the groups breakthrough single, "The Humpty Dance", "Kiss You Back" became Digital Underground's second top-40 single, peaking at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, and earned a gold certification on April 9, 1992 for sales of 500,000 copies.
Their albums contained cameos by many of the Digital Underground crew, including Shock G (as himself, Humpty Hump, and the Piano Man) and 2Pac.
