In 1988, the line-up was complete for the new look Cloven Hoof, and so they set out to work on their first full-length studio album, Dominator.
Their Doge took the title quartae partis et dimidiae totius imperii Romaniae dominator or "Lord of a quarter and a half part of the whole Roman Empire".
Since the early millennium, Metalcore became popular in Malaysia as well with renowned underground bands such as Forsaken, Amarah, Dewata, Furion Escalada, Dominator (early), Tyrant (screamo), Dead Eyes Glow, Mad Monsters Attack, Restraint and Love Me Butch (post-hardcore) supporting the local scene.
