The story starts out in a typical Double Dragon/Final Fight style setting at 64th Street with two protagonists: Rick (Anderson), a calm and intelligent, 35-year old professional private detective and manager of the detective agency; and Allen (Tombs), a 19-year old, reformed delinquent trained by Rick, who is "short-tempered and violent when angry".
He has also been involved as a voice actor in animation including Reboot, Billy the Cat, Trollz, Stories From My Childhood, the Goodtimes Fairy Tales films, Double Dragon, Captain Zed and the Zee Zone, Troll Tales, Pocket Dragon Adventures and Mummies Alive!.
After leaving Data East, Kishimoto was employed by Technos Japan Corp. During his time on the company, he worked on the video games Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun (released in an altered form outside Japan under the title of Renegade) and Double Dragon.
The Special Thanks on the end credits now mentions Bruce Lee, as well as Yoshihisa Kishimoto, the director of the Double Dragon arcade game.
The game's dialogue and graphical style is heavily 80s-inspired, and features a soundtrack composed by Jake Kaufman, inspired by the original Double Dragon as well as 80's pop music and arcade game soundtracks.
