Horace Tennyson O'Rourke

Horace Tennyson O'Rourke, (1880–1963) was Dublin city architect for Dublin Corporation, now, Dublin City Council from 1922-1945.


Dermot Fitzpatrick

His daughter Mary Fitzpatrick, a Fianna Fáil member of Dublin City Council, was one of three Fianna Fáil candidates in Dublin Central for the 2007 general election.

Merrion Square

Now managed by Dublin City Council, the park contains a statue of Oscar Wilde, who resided in No. 1, Merrion Square from 1855 to 1876, many other sculptures and a collection of old Dublin lamp standards.
