Virginia Kerr the prominent Irish Soprano and opera singer is from Dunboyne and still lives there today.
On 14 August 1657 he was ordained at Winwick, Lancashire, by the fourth Lancashire presbyterian classis; this was on a call from the parish of Dunboyne, County Meath, where he had officiated from 1655, with a stipend under the civil establishment of Henry Cromwell.

In September 2010 services began from Dunboyne to Dublin Docklands after the redevelopment of 7.5 km section of the old Navan railway line which had been closed in 1963 from Dunboyne to Clonsilla on the Maynooth line.
His daughter was wife of the 28th Baron Dunboyne (27 Jan 1917 – 19 May 2004) and mother of John Fitzwalter Butler, 19th Baron Dunboyne (b. 1951).
