Edmund Zalinski, an American artillery officer, saw the demonstration, and over the next few years improved the design, building and demonstrating a series of prototypes.

A bolt circle for a 15 inch dynamite gun remains near the southwest tip of Fisher's Island, New York on the former site of Fort H. G. Wright.


Dale Fort

Occupied from Elizabethan times to the present day, the main buildings were built for the military protection of Milford Haven in the 1850s, but the most unusual feature is its use for trials of Edmund Zalinski's Pneumatic Dynamite Gun in the 1890s.
