Earl of Dalhousie

In 1815 he was created Baron Dalhousie, of Dalhousie Castle in the County of Edinburgh, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, which entitled him to an automatic seat in the House of Lords.

Earl of Panmure

His son, Fox Maule, 2nd Baron Panmure also inherited the title Earl of Dalhousie (as the eleventh earl).

The greater portion of the Panmure estates passed to William another great-nephew of the second Earl and the second son of the Earl of Dalhousie.

Historia NorwegiƦ

The only extant manuscript, in the private possession of the Earl of Dalhousie and kept at Brechin Castle, Scotland, is fragmentary; what we have of the Historia is found on folios 1r-12r.

Outlook Tower

The tenement is thought to be the original mansion of the Ramsays of Dalhousie (the "Lairds of Cockpen"), turned into small flats in the 18th century.

Robert Ferguson of Raith
