The area is under governance of the Auckland Council, and is located to the south-east of the Auckland city centre.
The Fo Guang Shan temple is a large temple and community centre of the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist movement in the East Tamaki/Flatbush suburb of Auckland, New Zealand.
The new viaduct is composed of 468 separate bridge deck sections, produced in a precast facility in East Tamaki.

Sir Woolf Fisher (20 May 1912 – 12 January 1975) was an East Tamaki, New Zealand, businessman and philanthropist who co-founded Fisher & Paykel, a major appliance manufacturing company, and the Ra Ora Stud, an important Thoroughbred racehorse breeding operation.
