In 1971, Eddie began his Professional career as apprentice golf professional to Hedley Muscroft at Roundhay Golf Club, Leeds.

In 1998, following the retirement of Alex Hay, Eddie became Managing Director of the prestigious Woburn Golf & Country Club; he took the club through significant changes with enormous success, and the club hosted many major national professional and amateur events, gaining continued success as one of the world’s best known tournament venues.
