Jacob Bidermann

Jacob Bidermann (1578 – August 20, 1639) was born in the Austrian (at that time) village of Ehingen, about 30 miles southwest of Ulm.

Lorenz Hengler

At the age of fourteen he entered the Latin School of Leutkirch and attended successively those of Ehingen and Tübingen.

Moritz von Aberle

He became professor in the Obergymnasium, at Ehingen, in 1845; director of the Wilhelmstift, in 1848; professor of moral theology and New Testament exegesis in the university at Tübingen, in 1850, a position he retained till the day of his death.


Adolf Pfister

In 1838 he obtained civic rights in Württemberg, and as a priest of the Diocese of Rottenburg, he was pastor first in Dotternhausen; 31 January 1839, at Rosawangen; 11 May 1841, at Risstissen; from 1851 also school inspector in Ehingen.
