Jacob Bidermann (1578 – August 20, 1639) was born in the Austrian (at that time) village of Ehingen, about 30 miles southwest of Ulm.
At the age of fourteen he entered the Latin School of Leutkirch and attended successively those of Ehingen and Tübingen.
He became professor in the Obergymnasium, at Ehingen, in 1845; director of the Wilhelmstift, in 1848; professor of moral theology and New Testament exegesis in the university at Tübingen, in 1850, a position he retained till the day of his death.
In 1838 he obtained civic rights in Württemberg, and as a priest of the Diocese of Rottenburg, he was pastor first in Dotternhausen; 31 January 1839, at Rosawangen; 11 May 1841, at Risstissen; from 1851 also school inspector in Ehingen.
Anton Schlecker (born 28 October 1944 in Ehingen) is a German businessman, founder and owner of the Schlecker drug store chain in Germany.
Johann Christoph von Freyberg-Allmendingen was born in Altheim (Ehingen) on September 28, 1616, the son of Kaspar von Freyberg zu Altheim und Worndorf and his wife Anna Regina von Rechberg.
