Eli M. Oboler Library

Previously located at the Bannock County Courthouse Annex, the Arthur P. Oliver Law Library is now on the first floor of the Oboler Library and contains court reporters, state and federal codes, and legal research materials.


Eli M. Black

United Farm Workers president Cesar Chavez said that his career was proof that management could work with farm labor "for the betterment of all." Black served as a trustee of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The American Jewish Committee, the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, Babson College, the Jewish Guild for the Blind, and the Jewish Museum.

Black's suicide was the inspiration for a scene in the 1994 screwball comedy film The Hudsucker Proxy.

Eli M. Oboler

Oboler was a longtime member of the American Library Association, and held numerous positions with the ALA and the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), one of the largest subdivisions of the ALA.
