Benjamin, a former artist on Laurie Records, has worked with major television stars including, Kelly Ripa, Melina Kanakaredes, Kyle Lowder, Eric Martsolf, McKenzie Westmore, Nadia Bjorlin and Jillian Clare.
In late July of that year, Soap Opera Digest announced that Hartley would join the cast of Days of our Lives, another NBC soap opera, in the recast role of Arianna Hernandez, which would place her opposite former Passions co-stars Galen Gering and Eric Martsolf, who would once again portray her brother and love interest, respectively.

He was on the show from 1997–1998 and in May 2006, he substituted for Eric Martsolf as Ethan Winthrop on Passions when Martsolf took paternity leave for his newborn twin sons.
